The check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly and informative about the surrounding area - given that it was dark when we arrived at night, that was very helpful for finding a restaurant (we booked online through Booking.com about 1 hour before we checked in). Our room was immaculately clean; the bed was comfortable, the room was warm and the shower had fantastic water pressure. The soap, shampoo and conditioner were each in refillable bottles; not individual sachets which cuts down on waste, a thing that both my wife and I liked. The interior design of the room was pleasant, it seemed to me to be a mix of Japanese and Mexican (apologies if I have gotten this wrong); it was your average motel room but Agave Inn's finishing touches throughout and it's cleanliness made it stand out for me. I would definitely stay at the Agave Inn again and I have already recommended it to friends; and I would do so to anyone. There are Japanese, Korean, Indian and Thai restaurants near by and also a pizza place; there are also a couple of bars too. Across the street there is a garden nursery, a fabulous French patisserie and a sandwich shop; all within the Loreto Plaza shopping centre.

The room was clean and comfortable. I was pleased to find out it was roomier than the pictures made it seem. Check in was easy and quick, and it was nice that we didn't have to deal with any room keys. The AC was great, although it wasn't hot when I stayed there. The bed was okay, not terrible but not the best. The parking is limited and a bit cramped, so those with bigger cars or trucks will find it pretty tight. There is overflow parking though. And the hotel is off a main street but wasn't particularly noisy. Overall it was a pleasant experience and had a better pricing than a lot of the other hotels in SB. I would definitely stay there again.

Room was as pictured. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice touches like an ambient orb lamp so you don't have to have the bright overhead light in, touch lights next to the bed, and outlet cube on the nightstand so you can charge multiple devices. It was small, but clean and comfy. It's true the parking lot is small, but you don't have to park at the vet next door and move your car at 8am if it's full as several other reviews have said-- there is parking on the street behind the hotel. I had to park there one of the 2 nights I stayed, and my car was fine.

Location is perfect - close to many shops, bars, restaurants, parks, etc. Not even a 10-minute drive to the beach. The room itself was super cute with heating and air conditioning - the bathroom had towels, soaps, lotions, etc. Decently sized space for a king-sized bed and closet area with mini fridge - everything I could ask for in a room for a weekend trip! Front desk staff was really nice as well.

This is a small motel like property that has been upgraded to feel so much more. Well designed rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. My room was close to the road but the windows cut the sound. I appreciated the modern mini split heat/cool instead of the old style rattling ac units.
